Just a great game, I love the ‘power upping’ of the football.

A real game that if you like soccer and that old classic Speedball then you’ll love this game.

Nintendo WII – at last I have one

Just took deliver of Nintendo WII with Argon chip for backups.

Seems just to add more heache, most of the download backups are NTSC only, so I had to import a US model WII at great expense.  After the Argon chip + WII + controllers, it totalled 900 AUSD.  Ouch!

But ok, I can download any game.  So far been only impressed with WII Play, WII Sports and Trauma Center.  Mercury maze was fun but it soon became impossible.  The fishing games are annoying.

New games I’m downloading are the AMF bowling and a proper baseball game.

Transformers on the Xbox 360

Had a play when I was in the store the other day, it’s quite releaving to smash up buildings and cars but I was infuriated to see you couldn’t kill the people running out of the cars.

GTA never had this problem….I think as a tension releaver the death factor has to be in there…maybe morph a picture of your boss or neighbour and shoot to kill lol.

Gran Turismo 4 – it helped me learn to drive

GT4 really helped me learn to drive – and keeps my reactions sharp.

Driving into, through the apex and exiting a corner is exactly like the road – if you use the GT4 logitech steering wheel.

This game really improved my driving confidence and understanding of car physics.

Would advise to everyone – another reason to play video games.

Yup, they’re cool.

I can’t stand people who say video games are for saddos.

Back in the 80s, there was nothing cooler.  Video games and computers were big news.

Then during the late 80s/90s it became all nerdy.

Only with the rise of SNES and PSX has it regained some credibility.

I agree playing video games (not for profit) 12 hours a day is a bit sad….but anything you do 12 hours a day is a bit sad!!!

Some advantages of computer games :

- passes the time.  Ideal if you are bored.

- keeps the children occupied

- increases mental concentration levels.

- increases reaction times which transgress to driving, every day life etc.
